About Hüseyin Çağlar
Born in Istanbul in 1973, Hüseyin Çağlar is originally from Çankırı. He graduated from Istanbul Kadıköy Anatolian High School, Istanbul Atatürk Science High School, and Boğaziçi University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He began his professional career as a Sales Representative at Procter & Gamble in Istanbul. Over his 16-year tenure at P&G, he held ascending roles in sales and marketing across cities such as Istanbul, Bursa, Ankara, Izmir, Konya, Gaziantep, and Samsun. He later served as a senior executive at P&G’s headquarters in Switzerland, responsible for 32 countries.
In 2012, he returned to Turkey as Vodafone’s Country Sales Director. He played a key leadership role in the restructuring of Vodafone’s 2,500 retail partners across Turkey and in the planning of the Vodafone Park Arena project.
In 2016, he was appointed General Manager of Enerjisa Enerji, where he led the strategic and organizational transformation of Ayedaş, Başkent, and Toroslar retail electricity companies, which serve 25% of Turkey’s electricity market. He also played a key role in Enerjisa Enerji’s public offering process in 2018.
He later served as Vice President at Çimsa, a subsidiary of Sabancı Holding operating in the cement industry. In October 2021, he became General Manager of Hamidiye Water, another Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality subsidiary. After achieving strong results in citizen satisfaction and sustainable operations at Hamidiye, he was additionally appointed General Manager of Beltur in June 2025.
Hüseyin Çağlar is fluent in English. He is married and has one child.
